Hoshizora (星空) Meaning
Hoshi (星) means star and zora/sora (空) means sky - inspired by my sheer love for the moon and stars, from childhood shows like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Full Moon wo Sagashite, and for a passion for all things that sparkle and shimmer. All of the naming conventions revolve around the idea that with your nail set creations we can make your dream nails come true. ✰
About
Welcome to hoshizora nails! My name is Miye (pronunciation: mee-ae; hangul: 미애; hanja: 美愛) and I'm so happy that you're here!
I've gotten my nails done at a Japanese salon for years and years trying out new designs and styles. Explored different ideas. I've always loved the work that my nail technician did for me during that time, but it became costly to upkeep and sometimes I felt bad asking her to do more complex, time consuming designs. So I ended up trying gel nail stickers and press on nails of different styles and brands - and they were fun to experiment with, but still just not exactly the expression I wanted. Then, I decided to try to do things on my own to best express myself and it evolves more and more everyday in the form of hoshizora nails. And I'm so proud of being able to continually learn and create all of this magic for all of you too!
A bit about me! I love anime and manga - part of what excites me about this brand is being able to bring both subtle and not so subtle anime ideas to life for you all. I'm also very into video games, some of my favorites being Final Fantasy XIV, Fire Emblem, and Rune Factory. Another thing I do in my off time is streaming on Twitch as a variety streamer. I'll typically mix it up with rhythm games, puzzle games, farming games, etc. Sometimes, I also mix in nail sketch progress - I try to announce on my Instagram when those happen if you're interested in hanging out while I work. :)
I'm so thankful for all of the love and support and amazing people that I get to meet through this community. Whether you order from me, share my work, comment, or anything else - I am so grateful.
